1. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Halal Keys website, apps and services (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date, and continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
2. Who we are and what we do
Halal Keys helps halal-conscious and Muslim families discover, compare and plan travel, and connects you with verified halal, family-friendly stays, experiences and partners.
For many stays we act as an intermediary. The travel provider (the hotel, villa, operator or partner) is responsible for delivering the service you book with them, subject to their own terms.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
You must be old enough to enter a binding contract in your country to make a booking. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or are used unlawfully.
4. Bookings and payments
Prices are shown as lead-in nightly rates in your selected currency and may change until a booking is confirmed. Availability is not guaranteed until confirmed.
Where a stay supports reserve-now, pay-at-property, payment is made to the provider on arrival under their terms. Where online payment is enabled, it is processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card details.
Cancellation, refund and change policies vary by provider and are shown before you commit. Please read them carefully.
5. Verification and halal attributes
We review listed properties against a transparent halal and family standard and show a verification level and last-verified date. Verification reflects information available at the time and can change.
While we work to keep attributes accurate, we cannot guarantee every detail at all times. Always confirm critical requirements (such as halal certification or prayer facilities) directly with the provider before travelling.
6. Partner programmes
Certification, affiliate and creator programmes are governed by these terms and any additional programme terms agreed in writing. Partners must keep their information accurate and comply with applicable laws and our brand and content guidelines.
Misrepresentation of halal or family attributes may result in removal from the programme, as trust is central to the Service.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, scrape it at scale, circumvent security or rate limits, submit false or harmful content, or infringe others' rights.
User-submitted content (such as reviews and applications) must be accurate, lawful and respectful. We may moderate, edit or remove content that breaches these terms.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, content and trademarks, is owned by Halal Keys or its licensors and protected by law. You may not copy, resell or exploit it without permission, except as allowed by these terms.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts or omissions of independent travel providers.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to Halal Keys' place of business, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
